ABOUT US My name is Silvana and I am the founder, owner and CEN, Chief Executive Nymph of Forest Nymphs. Forest Nymphs was created from the innate passion and love I have for nature, music, art, self expression, romance and sex! I grew up in New York City and in Southern California, in the 70’s when the “peace, love happiness” movement was strong. And was raised in a bi-cultural, Spanish / English household where incense and candles were burned on a daily basis. My mom who is now in her late 60s still burns incense, candles and sage daily. As a young child growing up, I remember going to the park, to the beach with my parents and brother, watching the hippies dancing around, singing, playing their instruments, while others rolled sage and burned incense. It all seemed to flow together in the same wave. The music the smoke of the incense burning and their bodies as they danced. It was so free and fun loving. And the scent of the fragrance they burned was unlike any other. The hippies fascinated and intrigued me. As did the Hara Krishna’s, with their tambourines,long robes, shaved heads with one long braid in the center of their scalp. They too burned incense while they sold it out on the streets of New York, by the subway terminals. But it wasn’t only the Hara Krishna’s and the hippies that burned incense. In my going to church, the scent of frankincense & myrrh incense was burned. In traveling to South America, Uruguay the artisans at the Artisan Faire burned incense and sipped their cultural traditional Yerba Mate’ tea, as they sold their handmade arts and crafts. As did other countries, such as Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Columbia and Peru. This simple yet spiritual practice became a part of me. While traveling, and staying in hotels, motels I would always ask for a smoking room. My friends knowing I do not smoke were a bit puzzled at first! Then they would notice my reason …so that I could burn my incense, sage and candles in the room without any smoke alarms going off! They thought I was crazy! But shortly thereafter they started doing the same! This is how it began … The inspiration… The love and passion… The magic continues… The forest continues to grow and it’s made possible because of all you “Nymphs” out there. And we thank you! We are proud to be on PETA’s list of companies that DO NOT test on animals. We Nymphs test all of our products personally before bringing them into our forest for sale and we do this through human volunteers. Our husbands, boyfriends, families and friends! It’s actually quite fun! We do not use any ingredients that are known to cause irritation Feel free to contact us with any question or concern. We have English and Spanish speaking Nymphs!
